Podcasting is on everyone's minds these days. But where do you even begin to start? How can you utilize podcasting to share your nonprofit's story? What equipment do you need? Do you need a full production studio to record? How do you get your podcast up on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, or Spotify? So many questions and not enough answers? Getting started is easier than you think. Jennifer will demystify the podcasting process during this month's meeting. 

About Jennifer

Jennifer Navarrete is an award-winning event/social media community organizer, speaker, and entrepreneur who is, in the words of the Austin-American Statesman, "driving the social media space in San Antonio." With a background encompassing almost all aspects of the social media landscape, she often describes herself as a"social media mixologist" combining new technology with storytelling and community to create successful events, facilitate local organizations, and deliver client results.

She has been podcasting since 2005, and was part of the birth of podcasting as an industry. In 2007, Jennifer founded National Podcast Post Month(aka NaPodPoMo), a community event that encourages folks to create 30 podcasts in 30 days during the month of November. This event gave new podcasters a chance to "fail fast and get good" while motivating veteran podcasters to experiment with new technology and new podcast formats. This year, NaPodPodMo is celebrating its 12th anniversary of inspiring podcast innovation. Jennifer also hosts the weekly #PodcastChat on Twitter, a discussion among the podcasting community.

Whether it's through podcasting, live-streaming, or other forms of social media, Jennifer believes in the power of storytelling, and that everyone has a story to share. She continues to use her vast experience in podcasting and social media to coach, encourage, and support others on their social media journeys, embodying the philosophy of "learn, share, grow." Jennifer stays on top of the rapidly shifting podcast and social media landscape, and on any given day, she can be found with earbuds jammed in her ears learning, laughing, and enjoying the numerous podcasts she is subscribed to.
